Our First Review

We were featured in Montreal's HOUR magazine, with a positive review.

Here is a transcript :

2805
Dave Jaffer

Like many young bands, Intensive Care occasionally err by imitating their influences (Muse most specifically). Ignore this minor crime - and you should - and you'll find an interesting local band that blends the barbed, dirty, unfriendly elbows of rock with calmer tenets of jazz. Sometimes it flat-out doesn't work, but oftentimes it does. Clearly, there's a lot of talent here, revealed most specifically in the rockier moments of Distorted Love Song and Stray. If I'm right in assuming an EP's job is to build up interest in the LP, then consider 2805 a success.

Tori

I can't resist. I have to write about this.
I just got the new Tori Amos Album, and surprise-surprise : I love it !
Being a huge fan, I felt a bit let down with the last album where she went all sugar-coaty-i'm-a-mother-now-so i'm going to sing about the mother earth and the bees and mary magdalene- and sing mellow songs- bullshit.
Now she's back with a collection of songs that shatter bounderies of genre. Songs go from heavy glam-rock to easter european jingles, passing by midnight nightclub anthems or acoustic ballads. And the genius is that it all flows like crazy.

My favorites : Teenage Hustling, Code Red, Smokey Joe, Girl Dissapearing, Big Wheel

jonny...

I just got a copy of this album from my neighbour Tyler.

It's Jonny Greenwood w/ Trojan. Probably the edgiest and most interesting reggae i've ever heard.

It really sounds great

You should check it out:

Gig !

Tonight's Barfly felt so good I had to post something about it.
Funny thing happened when nad broke a string and the rest of us ended up playing Alicia Keys' Fallin, out of nowhere. Pure pleasure ! Thank god the audience was so much fun. First time an audience makes me feel at ease. So thank you people ! ;)

Next up is the Main Hall gig... Exciting....

EP !

The EP just arrived from printers and I'm very excited about it. We can't release it before May 16th and it's killing me. The boxes are in my house, gently awaiting that date.

Meanwhile, we're doing promo and trying to get reviewed and possibly interviewed (??). We'll let you know if anything gives.

you can still listen to two of the songs on our website or myspace. Enjoy

First post !

Well this is my first post on this blog.
The website went online today. That's exciting! We can now connect more with our thousands of fans (ironic face) around the world. no, seriously. We'll be posting all relevant band issues there. This blog will keep you informed with the most important band developments, songwriting process as well as random snippets from the members. Hopefully, you'll react to our posts and share your opinions with us.
In case you were wondering, that picture on the left is the cover of our first EP, 2805, to be released on may 16th at our Main Hall gig.

I guess I'll write soon.
That's it for now
